About Us

Our founders and advisors are all highly experienced professionals in the elder care field in Northern California. We share a common vision: to give away, for free, our knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area’s resources and options for seniors and to create a virtual community where growing older feels empowering and inspiring… not terrifying.

Patty Weir Robertson, MA Gerontology — Founder and Advisor

Patty has been advocating for seniors throughout the Bay Area since 2000, although it could be said that her true calling happened much earlier when she became the caregiver for her ailing grandfather. Over the years, she has worked to develop new assisted living communities and acted as an advocate for seniors in need.

Previously, Patty was a Geriatric Care Manager with Eldercare Specialists, where she helped to coordinate care and support for older adults. She also worked at Elder Care Alliance for over five years in several key leadership roles.

Prior to her career with seniors, Patty was in the technology market, working with startup firms in health care and contact management systems. Patty received her MA in Gerontology at San Francisco State University, where she was awarded the University’s Graduate Student Award for Distinguished Achievement in 2004. She currently sits on the Charitable Trust Finance Board for the Dominican Sisters.

When she isn’t advocating and assisting families on senior issues, she can be found organizing school events and parties for her children.
